Lis Wiehl (born September 19, 1960) is an American writer and Former legal analyst for Fox News.
She was an adjunct professor in Law at New York Law School and was previously Associate Professor at the University of Washington Law School. Legal commentaries have been provided to National Public Radio and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. She has appeared as a guest on The O'Reilly Factor and Your World with Neil Cavuto. The Kelly File The Kelly File, featuring Megyn Kelly and Lou Dobbs, and the Imus Morning Shows.
Wiehl was raised in Yakima, Washington, and was a graduate of West Valley High School in Yakima. She graduated from Barnard College with a Bachelor's degree in 1983. In 1985, she earned the Master of Arts degree in Literature at the University of Queensland. And in 1987, she earned the Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School.
Wiehl worked as a prosecutor for the US Attorney's office. She also worked as an NPR legal reporter. She was the deputy chief investigating counsel for Democrats from the House Judiciary Committee, during Clinton's impeachment. Her tenure at University of Washington School of Law Seattle was from 1995 until 2001. She managed the school's Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl has been an analyst for Fox News analyst since 2001.
