
Constance Marie Lopez (born September 9th, 1965)[1] is an American actress. Her best-known work is her parts in George Lopez (2002 - 2007) and Marcela Quitanilla (mother Selena) in Selena (1997). She was Regina Vasquez on the ABC Family/Freeform drama Switched at Birth (2011-17). She is currently playing Camila Diaz in the Amazon Prime Video drama series Undone (2019). Marie started her acting career in her teens. She was cast in the 1988 film Salsa. Other credits on film and TV include Early Edition and Dirty Dancing, Selena and Spin City and Ally McBeal. Marie was selected for the role of Angie Lopez on the ABC comedy series George Lopez. Marie played alongside Jacqueline Obradors, Hector Elizondo and Elizabeth Pena in the 2001 comedy-drama Tortilla Soup. Marie was also a character of the PBS drama American Family. Her clothing line was launched "The Constance Marie" in October 2007. She was also in an ad campaign for PETA that year , encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their pets. [3] From 2011 to 2017, Marie had a starring role in the drama series on Freeform and ABC Family called Switched at Birth, portraying Regina Vasquez, the birth mother of one of the girls as well as the legally the mother of another.
