Heidi Watney (born May 19 1981) is an American sportscaster and reporter for Apple TV+.A graduate of the University of San Diego, her previous sportscasting experience includes roles in MLB Network, New England Sports Network in Boston, Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles, and two stations in Fresno.Watney attended Clovis West High School in Fresno which included gymnastics, hurdles, diving and cheerleading. She was an National Merit Scholar and attended the University of San Diego on an academic scholarship. she graduated with honors in 2003. Watney was the very first runner up in Miss California USA 2002. Watney began her career with KMPH-TV in Fresno in September 2003. She started as a morning traffic reporter. She then transitioned to the weekend sports anchor and the weekday sports reporter in 2005. She arrived in Massachusetts in 2008 to join the team at New England Sports Network (NESN). She was a Boston Red Sox gameday reporter. Watney also hosted Ultimate Red Sox Show and the Red Sox Report.In January 2012, Watney began working for Time Warner Cable SportsNet as reporter for LA Galaxy. In November 2012, Watney was appointed by MLB Network. She worked there for nine years. [5] She is formerly host of Quick Pitch. In 2022 she joined Apple TV+.
