Coleman is a Lancashire native. Coleman was head of the class at Arnold School, Blackpool and was awarded straight A's on her A levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale Coleman expressed regret over being unable to attend a college. Coleman, while still in High School, was part of a theatrical company called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The show also received favorable reviews. The show was praised for her outstanding performance. Coleman, who was auditioning to join drama colleges in 2005, got Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. She was named Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news event on 21st March 2012 that Coleman will take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat said that he chose Coleman to play the role of companion because she could perform best alongside Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field of film since 1987. Her work has been much more visible on television as opposed to films. In all the characters Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that are the most notable. She was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part, and she also had a chance explore her artistic talents. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneurial. Eva is married three times with a daughter by her second partner.
